The fifth-annual PFC Matthew J. England 5k Memorial Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday morning at 9:00 at the Ozark County Courthouse square in Gainesville. The race is held in memory of England who was killed at the age of 22 during the Iraq War when his unit was attacked by enemy forces with an improvised explosive device.
Registration is $25, and t-shirts cost $20 for anyone not participating. Donations are also being accepted. Proceeds will benefit the PFC Matthew J. England Memorial Scholarship Fund.
