
Thursday marks the start of the tenth and final week of the regular season for high school football in Arkansas, and for Mountain Home, the 2017 campaign will end on the road. The Bombers head toward the Mississippi River to meet up with West Memphis.
Mountain Home is currently 1-8 on the season. The Bombers were unable to hold on to their lead on Friday as they fell to Searcy by a touchdown. West Memphis comes into the game ranked tenth in the state overall and fourth in Class 6A by the Associated Press. The Blue Devils are 8-1 and 5-1 after suffering their first loss last week at the hands of Pine Bluff.
Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says he is looking to send his senior class out on a winning note.

Kickoff at Ralph Hamilton-O.M. Schultz Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Coverage begins at 5:30 with the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday.
Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy hosts Little Rock Hall, Jonesboro travels to Marion, and Jacksonville entertains Pine Bluff.
The football season will also come to an end for Mountain Home’s freshmen. The Junior Bombers will be in Paragould as they face Greene County Tech. Kickoff at Eagle Stadium is set for 7:00.
In other junior high football, Melbourne makes the trip to Mountain View, and Harrison is home against Van Buren.
In junior high basketball, Cotter hosts Norfork, Viola entertains Sloan-Hendrix, Lead Hill is home against Bergman, Valley Springs hosts Alpena, and Omaha entertains Jasper.
