The Mountain Home Historical Day guided tour will be held Saturday morning at the Mountain Home Cemetery, located at 147 East 11th Street, from 10:00 until noon. Local History teacher Kevin Bodenhamer will host the tour to discuss historical figures and the founding fathers who are buried there.
Marshella Norell, Chairperson for the Mountain Home Cemetery Board of Directors, recommends anyone interested in Mountain Home’s history to attend the event.

Norell says the tour is usually held around Memorial Day. This year due to new fencing and new sign being installed the board elected to postpone it until near Veteran’s Day.

Some of the veterans laid to rest in the cemetery will be highlighted, and there will be a formal dedication of the new fence, which covers the entire perimeter.

A history brochure will be distributed with information on plots still available for purchase.
