The Mountain Home Lions Club is preparing for its annual major fundraiser. The Lions Club Radio/TV Auction is scheduled for Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 each night from the XL7-TV studio on Commerce Drive in Mountain Home and will be broadcast on KTLO-FM 97.9 and XL7.

Mountain Home Lions Club President George Truell and auction co-chairs Cynthia Dalrymple and Tim Herold were featured guests on Saturday’s Local Matters on KTLO-FM. Truell says this is the only fundraiser for the local Lions Club to help provide the community with needs for sight care issues, and its members work early to get the community involved.

Dalrymple says the local Lions Club’s membership is passionate about sight care services in the Twin Lakes Area, including what’s provided at the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.

The Lions Club has also been able to provide vision screeners through its auction. The club recently donated screeners valued at $8,200 to the Mountain Home and Cotter school districts.

Dalrymple says other services are provided as well.
