Carlo Farruggia of Mountain Home was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a number of drug and traffic-related infractions during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The 28-year-old Farruggia was arrested September 18th when Mountain Home police responded to a two-vehicle accident.
Farruggia, the driver of one of the vehicles, was reported to have slurred speech, being unsteady on his feet and having bloodshot eyes.
In addition, a small black box was found to contain a substance field testing positive for methamphetamine.
Farruggia was on active parole at the time of the accident from an earlier conviction, according to the affidavit.
