Monday basketball schedule includes start of state tournament

There is high school basketball on the local Monday schedule as state tournament play begins in Arkansas.

Three area teams will play their openers in the Class 1A State Tournament at Morrilton. In girls’ action, Lead Hill meets Concord at 1:00, and Rural Special faces County Line at 4:00. Omaha’s boys take on Maumelle Charter at 2:30.

District play continues for the larger schools in Missouri, and the West Plains boys will be in Marshfield for their first game in the Class 4, District 9 Tournament. The Zizzers will play Bolivar at 7:15.
