MH 9th grade softball team starts season with pair of wins

The Mountain Home 9th grade softball team picked up a pair of wins over Flippin’s varsity team Monday.

In the first game, a pair of Mountain Home pitchers combined on a no-hitter in a 9-1 win. Kaylee Crownover struck out seven in four innings of work and Kinsey Raley worked the final inning.
At the plate, Marcie Cudworth had three hits and drove in three runs; Mattie Belk had a triple, double and drove in two runs; Emily Payne had a pair of hits and an RBI; and Reagan Hasselwander drove in two runs.

The 9th Grade Lady Bombers won the second game 11-3. Raley and Tori Ross combined for the win, allowing just two hits and striking out four.
Offensively, Mallory Pierski had two hits and drove in three runs, Josie Kelly had two hits and two RBI, and Crownover and Payne each had two hits.
