JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – The ex-husband of a woman who had an extramarital affair with Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens has testified for an hour and a half before a House committee doing its own investigation of the governor.
Attorney Al Watkins tells the Associated Press that the ex-husband was asked Friday to confirm that his former wife had described to him her interaction with Greitens that led to the invasion of privacy indictment against the Republican governor. He also was asked to confirm that he made a recording of the conversation with her.
Missouri’s House speaker tasked the panel with investigating the governor following his recent indictment by a St. Louis grand jury on a felony invasion-of-privacy charge. The charge stems from allegations that he took a nonconsensual photo of the woman, who was at least partially nude.
