Wade Springer, Jr., of Mountain Home was given 10 years probation and ordered to pay almost $600 in restitution after admitting he had taken and used a debit/credit card belonging to another person.
The 27-year-old Springer’s plea came during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Mountain Home Police received a report a wallet was missing in early September last year. The victim said the wallet contained credit and debit cards, along with personal information.
The investigation revealed a credit card from the wallet was used a number of times at four different area businesses. Video surveillance footage helped develop Springer as a suspect in the case.
Springer was shown on video surveillance forging the card owner’s signature on five of the transactions.
When police spoke to Springer, he gave three different reasons as to why he had the card.
