Arvest Bank in North Central Arkansas and South Central Missouri is now accepting letters of request from local non-profit organizations to be considered for the 2018 Arvest Bank Charity of the Year program. The deadline for applications in Friday, April 13th.
The Charity of the Year program was created to lend financial support to local non-proft organizations through the annual Arvest Bank Charity Golf Tournament, which is currently in its 22nd year.
Every year, a selection committee of Arvest Bank associates selects up to three local charities to share 100 percent of the proceeds from the golf tournament. Non-profits in Baxter, Boone, and Marion Counties in Arkansas and Howell County of Missouri are encouraged by Arvest Bank to apply for consideration as a charity of the year.
Final selection as a charity of the year is based on past, present, and future financial needs, along with other criteria. To qualify, the charity must be designated as an IRS 501(c)(3) organization and must submit a letter to the committee explaining why the organization should be selected.
Letters of application to be considered should be mailed to: Arvest Bank Charity Committee, Attn: Tiffany Watkins, P.O. Box 325, Yellville, AR 72687. Applications can also be emailed to twatkins@arvest.com .
