In high school baseball Monday, Izard County was an 11-1 winner at home over Norfork. The Cougars were up 3-1 before scoring four runs in both the fourth and fifth innings for the win.
Coby Everett had two hits and drove in four runs, Dylan Tharp had three hits and two RBI and Justus Cooper and Noah Everett each had two hits.
Chase Orf and Tharp combined on the mound for a one-hitter.
Izard County improves to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the 2A/1A-3 District.
Mammoth Spring was a 16-1 winner over Flippin. The Bears up their record to 7-6 and 6-2.
