Mountain Home woman arrested on warrant for alleged meth sales

A rural Mountain Home woman, 49-year-old Rachel Ann Callaway, was arrested and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center Monday morning on an outstanding drug warrant. She was released from custody a short time later after posting a $5,000 bond.According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Sheriff’s investigators obtained a warrant on March 27th after using a confidential informant to make controlled buys of methamphetamine from Callaway in September of 2017.

Two buys of methamphetamine, less than two grams each, were made. The buys were monitored, and a cell phone was used to facilitate the transactions.

Callaway faces four felony charges. Two of the charges are for delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. The other two charges are for unlawful use of a communications device.

Callaway is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
