Credit: Kimberly AdamisHeart‘s Ann Wilson has announced plans for her first-ever solo TV special, which will feature performances from a just-scheduled concert she’ll play with her current band this Wednesday at the Arcada Theatre in St. Louis. At the show, Wilson will be singing a variety of Heart tunes, as well as songs from her solo career, including cover tunes that will appear on her forthcoming studio album, Immortal.
More details about the special, including the air date, will be revealed soon. As previously reported, Immortal will feature songs by various well-known artists who have died over the last few years. Among the confirmed tunes that Ann has recorded for the project are Lesley Gore‘s “You Don’t Own Me,” Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” The Eagles‘ “Life in the Fast Lane” and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers‘ “Luna.”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame singer, currently touring as Ann Wilson of Heart, kicked off a new series of dates on Thursday in Niagara Falls, Canada. Wilson and her band will play a few headlining shows this month and in July before heading out on the Stars Align tour with Jeff Beck and Paul Rodgers on July 18 in West Valley City, Utah.
