MH baseball team competes in Branson tourney, softball team goes to Harrison

Baseball and softball make up much of the local Friday schedule.

The Mountain Home High School baseball team will be in Branson as they begin a two-day run in the Dan Furst Memorial Tournament. The Bombers’ first opponent will be St. Thomas Aquinas from Overland Park, Kansas. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Ozark Mountain Classic will be held at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Valley Springs meets Elkins at 5:30, and Yellville-Summit takes on Fredericktown, Missouri, at 8:00.
Elsewhere, Cotter travels to Viola, Norfork makes the trip to Mountain View, Bruno-Pyatt hosts Shirley, Gainesville will compete in the Hartville Baseball Tournament, Dora entertains Mountain Grove, Salem heads to Imboden to face Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall travels to Berryville, and Omaha makes the trip to Decatur.
On the junior varsity level, Melbourne heads to Southside Batesville.

Mountain Home’s high school softball team will be on the road as they will be paired with Harrison. The varsity game is scheduled for 4:30 followed by the j.v. contest.
Gainesville will take part in the Sparta Lady Trojans Softball Classic. The Lady Bulldogs will be matched up with Hurley at 7:45.
In other high school softball, Cotter travels to Viola, Norfork makes the trip to Mountain View, Flippin will compete in the Ozark Softball Classic at Harrison, Dora is home against Melbourne, Salem heads to Imboden to play Sloan-Hendrix, and Omaha travels to Decatur.
