FRC Team 16, also known as the Baxter Bomb Squad, wrapped up the first of its qualification matches Friday at the Midwest Regional in Chicago. The Bomb Squad is currently in third place heading into the final day of competition.
The Bomb Squad began the day working with the two other teams in its alliance from St. Charles and DeKalb, Illinois, on a strategy. FRC Team 16 took part in a total of seven matches and won their first four.
The remainder of the qualifying matches will be held Saturday leading into the finals later in the day. The Bomb Squad and the competition can be followed online at frcteam16.org and on Facebook and Twitter.
