Roads in Arkansas mainly wet; roads near Branson snow-covered

Despite Saturday’s early morning snowfall and below freezing temperatures, most of the local roads are mainly wet. Officials from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Home Police Department are not reporting any roads snow-covered or frozen.

The only reports of snow-covered area highways are from Taney County. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, U.S. Highway 65 has snow on the roadway from the Arkansas-Missouri line up to Springfield. Other snow-covered highways include the main Branson strip of Highway 76, Highway 265 south of Hollister to near Silver Dollar City, and Highway 86 north of Ridgedale.
