
Injuries were avoided after a Sunday morning structure fire. Mountain Home Fire Chief Ken Williams reports the blaze occurred at a residence on Tanglewood Drive.
The Mountain Home Fire Department received a report at 8:17 of a structure fire with entrapment. According to Chief Williams, everyone was out of the residence by the time personnel arrived. Firefighters entered the structure and found fire in the attic and outside deck. The blaze reportedly extended up the outside wall into the attic area. Firefighters vented the roof and extinguished the fire.
Chief Williams reports the fire originated in the kitchen and back deck areas, and the structure has fire and water damage. The cause was undetermined after the investigation. Nineteen firefighters and two fire engines were on the scene for nearly an hour-and-a-half.
