The Peitz Cancer Support House will host a new edition of the “Journey Through Cancer” program Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. The program will focus on the effects cancer can have on hearing ability. Guest speaker Stacy Helmert, of Helmert Hearing Clinic, will discuss the effects and treatment of hearing.

Mild to severe hearing loss and tinnitus are possible effects cancer patients may face, and it is an important part of cancer care to know how to relieve these and other side effects. It is the hope of Peitz Cancer Support House representatives the lecture series will help in informing and aiding those affected by cancer.

“Journey Through Cancer” meets on the second Tuesday of every month. For more information about the program or about the Peitz Cancer Support House,  call 870-508-2273 or email Melissa Hudson, Peitz Cancer Support House Coordinator, at mhudson@baxterregional.org .
