A traffic stop Saturday has led to the arrest of 38-year-old Joshua Michael Miller of Little Rock on felony drug charges. According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel, Miller remains in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

According to the arrest affidavit, a MHPD Officer stopped a vehicle for an expired registration. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Miller, is a parolee with an active warrant for absconding. He also has a search waiver on file.

During a search, the officer found a clear plastic bag in Miller’s pants pocket containing a crystalline substance and a second plastic bag containing Suboxone strips. Miller allegedly identified the substances as methamphetamine and suboxone.

The crystalline substance will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for verification.

Miller faces one felony and one misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance. He also faces a parole violation.

Online Court records Monday did not indicate if Miller has been scheduled a court date.
