Corps of Engineers performing road maintenance at Henderson, Oakland

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled another road construction project at one park, and the opening of another park is being delayed.

The Corps will perform road maintenance at Henderson Park’s high water launch ramp and parking area on Norfork Lake. The work is scheduled to begin Monday and conclude May 27th, weather permitting, and will be exclusive to the ramp on the south side of U.S. Highway 62 East. The ramp on the north side in the camping area will remain accessible.

The Corps is also reminding the public the opening of Oakland Park on Bull Shoals Lake is being delayed. The repaving of the park’s road’s are pushing back the opening day from May 1st to May 18th, weather permitting.
