Jacob Morley was given four years in prison and 90 days in jail during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The time will run concurrently with sentences handed down against Morley in Fulton County.
Morley entered his guilty plea against the drug-related charges against him in Baxter county in early February, but sentencing was continued until he could deal with his situation in Fulton County.
The 27-year-old Morley’s charge in Baxter County stemmed from a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 62 East July 7th last year. In the probable cause affidavit, the Arkansas State Trooper who stopped Morley reported he initially pulled Morley over because he was not wearing a seatbelt.
When the trooper asked for Morley’s diver’s license, he reported being given an expired restricted driving permit. The trooper was given permission to search Morley and his vehicle. Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.
