Live Nation EntertainmentFollowing the surprising announcement a few weeks back that Lindsey Buckingham is no longer in the group, Fleetwood Mac has now announced a North American tour that will start in October and run through the spring of 2019.
The tour will feature the band’s new lineup: Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell, and Crowded House frontman and former Split Enz member Neil Finn. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 4 at 10 a.m. local time, though American Express Card members can buy tickets starting Monday April 30 at 10 a.m. local time.
In a statement, Mick Fleetwood said,”Fleetwood Mac has always been about an amazing collection of songs that are performed with a unique blend of talents. We jammed with Mike and Neil and the chemistry really worked and let the band realize that this is the right combination to go forward with in Fleetwood Mac style. We know we have something new, yet it’s got the unmistakable Mac sound.”
Collectively, the band said in a statement, in part, “We’ll be performing all the hits that the fans love, plus we’ll be surprising our audiences with some tracks from our historic catalogue of songs. Fleetwood Mac has always been a creative evolution. We look forward to honoring that spirit on this upcoming tour.”
