Chad Whitlow of Mountain Home — who was arrested when Mountain Home police were called to a local restaurant parking lot where he had been found unresponsive, sitting in his vehicle with the engine running — changed his plea to guilty on drug charges and was given five years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
When the police arrived, Whitlow had regained consciousness. The 41-year-old Whitlow told police he had Oxycodone and a syringe in his vehicle. Police searched and found the used syringe, a bottle containing 10 Oxycodone pills and a metal bowl containing narcotics residue.
At the time of his arrest early this month, Whitlow was on probation on other drug-related charges, according to the probable cause affidavit in his new case.
