A Walk-a-Thon fundraising event for Arvest Bank’s 1 Million Meals Campaign is set for Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Lead Hill Recreation Area and Campground, located at 1491 North Diamond Boulevard.
Participants will walk a distance of 3.1 miles around the scenic area in order to raise awareness for those in the community facing food insecurity. Tickets will be $10 per person or $30 for a family of four. All proceeds will stay in the Lead Hill community and benefit The Good Neighbor Food Cupboard.
Those wishing to take part may register at the Arvest Bank in Lead Hill at 167 Highway 14 or on location Saturday.
Arvest Bank associates in Lead Hill recently held a beans and cornbread fundraiser for the community, resulting in more than $538 in donations being raised, enough to provide 2,690 meals. The meals will also benefit the Good Neighbor Food Cupboard.
