
Eagle Rock EntertainmentAn April 1999 concert The Rolling Stones played in San Jose, California is the subject of a new installment of the band’s From the Vault series of official bootleg performances that will be released this summer. From the Vault: No Security — San Jose 1999 will hit stores on July 13 on DVD and Blu-ray, as a two-CD/DVD collection, as a three-LP vinyl set, and digitally.
The show was part of a two-night stand The Stones played at the San Jose Arena and marked the group’s first performance in the city since 1965. The concert took place at the end of the final North American leg of the band’s No Security tour in support of their 1997 album, Bridges to Babylon.
The concert features The Rolling Stones performing classic tunes like “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Honky Tonk Woman,” “Paint It Black,” “Get off of My Cloud,” “Tumbling Dice,” “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (but I Like It),” “Start Me Up,” “Brown Sugar” and “Sympathy for the Devil.” Their set also included renditions of the Bridges to Babylon tracks “Out of Control” and “Saint of Me,” gems like “Respectable” and “I Got the Blues,” and a cover of “Route 66.”
