
The turnout in the first week of early voting for the 2018 Primary Election in Baxter and Marion counties has been very low according to numbers released Saturday by the clerks in both counties.
As of Saturday, 507 or 0.02 percent of the 29,032 eligible voters in Baxter County have cast their votes. The results as of Saturday include 62 Democrat party votes, 425 Republican party votes, and 20 non-partisan votes. Early voting in Baxter County is currently taking place through May 21st at the Baxter County Courthouse.
In Marion County, 344 or 0.04 percent of the county’s 9,688 registered voters have taken part so far in early voting. Early voting will continue at the Marion County Courthouse through May 21st, at the Bull Shoals City Hall Voting Center Monday through Friday this week and at the Lazy Acres Firehouse May 21st.
The 2018 Primary Election is May 22.
