A reception honoring 20 individuals retiring from Mountain Home Public Schools at 5:00 Thursday evening will proceed the monthly board meeting at 6:00. During the reception, the teacher of the year and Richard Padget awards will be announced. The reception and the board meeting will be held in the board room of the Administration Building on Rodeo Drive.
Three administrators, Sondra Monger, Mike Walker, and Ann Harned, are among the 20 employees retiring this year.
Two people, Jennifer Janicak and Lisa Carpenter, are retiring from Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary. Pat Caldwell, Pam Cash, Gena Smith, Roxanne Johnson and Jennie Riley are all retiring from Hackler Intermediate. At Pinkston Middle School, Roger Fisher, Patty Markowski and Karen Broederdorf are retiring.
At Mountain Home Junior High School, there are three retirees, Sandra Walker, Brenda Yancey and Linda Stansfield.
Janice Reusch is retiring from Guy Berry College and Career Academy.
During the school board meeting, nine items are on the agenda for action including handbooks, instrument bid, security cameras, document cameras, disposal of equipment and a used bus purchase.
