The turnout in the second week of early voting for the 2018 Primary Election in Baxter County continues to be very low according to numbers released Saturday.
County and Circuit Clerk Canda Reese says as of Saturday, 1,204 or 4.15 percent of the 29,032 eligible voters in Baxter County have cast their votes. The results as of Saturday include 167 Democrat party votes, 1,014 Republican party votes, and 23 non-partisan votes. Early voting in Baxter County is currently taking place through Monday at the Baxter County Courthouse.
The 2018 Primary Election is Tuesday.
