Video visitation equipment is now available at the Stone County Detention Center, allowing remote visits with inmates by computer or smart phone by downloading an app.
Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds says installation of the new equipment will eliminate the need to come to the detention facility for visitation.
Effective June 1st, visitation at the facility will be allowed only through the video system during the hours posted on the detention center section of the Stone County Sheriffs Office website. Visitation through the glassed area will no longer be allowed at the facility.
