Brittany Brown of Gassville pled no contest to attacking her grandmother at a Gassville residence, throwing the 69-year-old woman to the floor and kicking her in the face and head and was given six years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The 32-year-old Brown went to her grandmother’s residence in mid-June 2017 in what was described as an “agitated state.” The grandmother has custody of Brown’s children because of the Gassville woman’s alleged “extensive methamphetamine” use, according to investigative records. The grandmother told police Brown became agitated, and then a physical confrontation had broken out. She said her granddaughter grabbed her by the hair, threw her on the floor and began kicking her.The victim screamed for help, and her daughter who was at the residence came to her rescue and got Brown to leave the house.

Fourteenth Judicial District Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Kerry Chism told Judge Gordon Webb a letter had been received by his office from the grandmother asking the state to drop the charges.
