A Fulton County fugitive was taken into custody Thursday within minutes of the broadcast report he was being sought by law enforcement.

Fulton County Sheriff Al Roork says shortly after he requested the public’s help in locating fugitive Kyle Salamone, the sheriff’s office began receiving calls advising of his location.

About noon, members of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Salem Police, and Arkansas Community Correction’s Probation and Parole arrived at a residence on Forrest Mist Lane north of Camp.

Officers surrounded the house, with the chief deputy knocking on the front door.

Salamone opened the door and then slammed it in the chief deputy’s face. Salamone ran to the back door, saw officers and proceeded to kick out the bedroom window before diving out.

Sheriff Roork deployed a Taser, but it had no effect on Salamone.

Officers gave chase and were able to catch Salamone after about a quarter-mile pursuit.

The fugitive is facing multiple felony charges. He was wanted for a parole violation. Salamone has been arrested in multiple counties in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. He has been convicted in Fulton and Sharp counties for possession of a controlled substance, residential burglary, theft of property, breaking and entering and escape.

At the residence where Salamone was located, officers arrested 20-year-old Cheyenne Durham, wanted on a charge out of Adair County, Missouri for possession of a controlled substance and probation violation.

Also arrested at the residence was 34-year-old Brandi Simpson on an Oregon County, Missouri felony warrant for probation violation.
