
The Republican Women of Marion County (RWMC) has announced the recipients of two Patty Mayo scholarships, each in the amount of $750. Allie Struckle and Erin Still, both graduating seniors, were awarded the scholarships. Struckle attended Bruno-Pyatt High School and plans to pursue a career in cosmetology. Still attended Yellville-Summit High School and plans to seek a secondary mathematics education degree.
The Patty Mayo scholarships are open to all Marion County graduating high school seniors, including those who are homeschooled, who have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Other requirements include letters of application and an essay. This year’s essay theme was “What the American Flag Means to Me.”
