Several baseball teams in action Friday

Baseball makes up the local Friday schedule as Cooper Park will continue its four-day run of hosting American Legion action. Pool play resumes in the Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic at Lester White Field.
The Mountain Home Lockeroom will play in the last game of the day as their second opponent in Pool A will be Fort Smith. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:45.
Action begins at 1 p.m. between Harrison and Conway, Paragould meets Benton at 3:15, and Batesville faces Pontotoc, Mississippi, at 5:30.

District tournament play gets underway for Cal Ripken baseball as the Mountain Home ten-year-olds will be at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. The local All-Stars will take on Springdale in the North District Tournament. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Ramsey Field.

Mountain Home will also have several other teams beginning district play. The seven-year-olds, two eight-year-old teams, 11- and 12-year-olds will begin their tournaments in Springdale.
