Various sections of Flippin were placed under a boil water order Saturday evening. According to a city spokesperson, the boil order includes areas south of West South Street and affects residents on Lydia Lane, Woodsong Lane and Marion County Roads 7055, 7086, 7056, 7058, 7092, 7076, 7090 and 7060.
The spokesperson did not give a reason or a cause for the boil order. All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
