The Mountain Home seven-year-old Cal Ripken baseball team began action Saturday in the North District Tournament on a rough note. The Cardinals have suffered three losses in Springdale.
Mountain Home began pool play by falling to the host team 21-2, and they were later doubled up by Rogers 6-3. The Cardinals again played Rogers as they began bracket play with a 21-14 loss.
Mountain Home will play again Sunday morning at 11:45 against the loser of the 10:00 game between Springdale and Rogers.
