A truck and a debit card reported stolen Thursday were recovered the same day when Mountain Home Police officers made a traffic stop and arrested 18-year-old Kiara Howell of Mountain Home.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the items were reported stolen by Howell’s father. He also told officers his daughter used the debit card to make a withdrawal without permission and provided a security video image from the bank of her making the transaction.

Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:45, an officer with the Mountain Home Police Department located the truck and conducted a traffic stop. Howell and a passenger, identified as her boyfriend, were in the truck. The bed of the truck had been painted with what appeared to be a can of black spray paint.

Howell has been charged with two felony counts of theft of property and one count of first-degree criminal mischief. Her bond was set at $10,000.
