The Mountain Home 14-year-old Babe Ruth baseball team needs one more win to claim the title of district champions. The Blue Storm picked up another dominating win Saturday at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison as they defeated Bentonville 12-1 in the North District Tournament.
Reed Ellison was credited with the win as he pitched 3 2/3 innings, struck out three batters and gave up three hits and a run, and the team did not commit a single error. Ellison also led the Mountain Home offense with a base hit in each of his three at-bats, and July Stone and Brett Manes also added multiple hits for the Blue Storm.
Mountain Home will play for the tournament title Sunday afternoon at 3:15 on Pippin Field.
