
Coltan Dale Gates of Flippin, one of several people arrested at a local motel in early April, was sentenced to six years probation after pleading guilty to charges against him during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
The Mountain Home Police Department received information the 28-year-old Gates, a current parolee listed as an absconder, was staying at a room at the motel.
Once entry was gained to the room, officers found Gates and two other people. All three were either parolees or probationers.
The officers also located used and loaded syringes, glass smoking pipes, a substance field testing positive for methamphetamine and multiple sets of digital scales. Several of the items were in plain view, while others were concealed in the bed.
