Manager of Pontiac Cove Marina Jabet Morgan Wade has been named as one of the “40 under 40” boating industry leaders, featured in the June/July issue of Boating Magazine. The 40 chosen, all under the age of 40, are described as “industry trendsetters who stand out from their boating peers.”
Wade, who lives in Pontiac with her husband Matt and their two children, told the magazine her grandparents bought the marina in 1964. Wade’s parents, Tim and Johanna Luna Morgan, bought it from them in 1978. It has remained a family business ever since.
Today, Wade is the manager of the marina, as well as manager of the family’s Lake Harbour Resort and the campground adjoining the marina. Wade holds a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and was recently elected to the Gainesville School Board.
