A Calico Rock man, 30-year-old Luke Dennis, was pulled from his wrecked vehicle Monday evening by a motorist following him and taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment.

According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on County Road 56 about 6 miles south of Mountain Home.

The motorist following Dennis told law enforcement the two had been working in the Big Flat area earlier in the day. He said he was following Dennis because he was not familiar with the area. The motorist said he believes Dennis fell asleep before his vehicle went into the ditch and hit a tree.

No details regarding Dennis’ injuries were included in the report. His disabled vehicle was towed from the scene of the 9:51 p.m. accident. Dennis was cited for careless/prohibited driving and leaving the scene of property damage.
