
State tournament action continued Saturday for Cal Ripken baseball with a few local teams looking to take home a state title.
Mountain Home is two wins away from the championship as they are hosting the North Arkansas Ten-Year-Old State Tournament. The Sharks pounded Rogers 21-0 on Saturday, and they’ll meet Blytheville in the semifinals Sunday morning at 11:00.
The Mountain Home 12-year-olds also made the semifinals of the North Arkansas State Tournament in Rogers. The local team doubled up Tri-County 6-3 Saturday afternoon, and they’ll take on Rogers in the semifinals Sunday morning at 10:00.
One of Mountain Home’s eight-year-old teams is one win away from the championship of the North Arkansas State Tournament at Harrison. The Naturals picked up wins over All-Star teams from Rogers and Springdale on Saturday. They’ll play in the title game Sunday against the winner between the Harrison A’s and the Springdale All-Stars.
