The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for slide repair on Highways 16 and 74 in Newton and Madison counties.
Arkansas Department of Transportation officials say Crouse Construction of Harrison was awarded the contract at over $1.3 million.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2018.
