The Lake Norfork Fireworks Association will host its 33rd edition of one of the Twin Lakes Area’s biggest 4th of July celebrations. The Independence Eve Fireworks Show is scheduled for Tuesday night starting at dusk (9:00 to 9:30) between the Panther Bay launch ramp and swim beach on Lake Norfork.

According to the association, the show can be seen from anywhere around the twin bridges basin at U.S. Highway 62 and Arkansas Highway 101, and 80 percent of the shells are large, colorful, American-made fireworks. For this year’s display, the Mountain Home High School carpentry class built permanent mortar racks with donated materials for the eight-inch shells. Pictures can be seen online at lakenorforkfireworks.com.

The Lake Norfork Fireworks Association is expressing appreciation to its Grand Finale Sponsor, Tracy Ferry Marina, and corporate level sponsors Lake Norfork Marina, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, the Mountain Home A&P Commission and Cranfield Marina. It’s also recognizing the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for keeping spectators safe on the roads and waterways.

Attendees are encouraged to let the Lake Norfork Fireworks Association how the show turned out and to post pictures on its Facebook. Musical accompaniment can be heard on 99.7 The Boot.
