One person was pinned in her vehicle and removed with extrication equipment following a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Hwy. 126 near the former Tucker’s Sawmill about 4:40.

Midway Volunteer Fire Department medical rescue team member Jim Higgins says the accident occurred when an SUV was traveling south on Hwy. 126, and a second vehicle entered the roadway from a county road without stopping. The second vehicle entering the roadway broadsided the SUV.

The driver of the second vehicle was pinned in her car and was removed utilizing extrication equipment. She was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center. The driver of the SUV sustained only minor injuries.

The identities of the drivers were not available.
