Baseball in Mountain Home has been around since the 1950s and has become a staple sport of the local community. The Mountain Home Youth Baseball (MHYB) Association helps continue the tradition by providing kids in the community ages 4-15 the ability to play baseball both recreationally and in league. Members of local baseball teams play during the summer, as well as on traveling teams and in tournaments locally and throughout the country. MHYB Association President Tom Czanstkowski says the association has a significant and positive impact on the local community.

The Mountain Home Youth Baseball Association has offered the local youth the opportunity to play baseball for over 50 years. The association exists to foster sportsmanship and the physical, mental and social growth of local youth through organized instruction and competition in the game of baseball, including regular and post season play. The association is charted through Babe Ruth Baseball Inc., a 501(c)3 charity organization and has an association with Cal Ripken Baseball.
