The Mountain Home 11-year-old Cal Ripken baseball team had a rough first day in the Southwest Regional Tournament in Petal, Mississippi. The Fury began the day by finishing in a 5-5 tie with Terrebonne, Louisiana. Mountain Home later took the field in the early evening session and lost to Daphne, Alabama, 8-1.
