Jay Dockweiler of Mountain Home pled guilty to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was given four years probation.

In early February, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence along Hillcrest Road in Mountain Home as part of a narcotics investigation.

When they arrived, a rental truck was sitting in a nearby church parking lot, and Dockweiler and a female were observed removing items from the residence and taking the items to the truck.

When officers made contact with the pair, the 26-year-old Dockweiler was carrying a toolbox. He gave officers permission to look inside, where they found multiple smoking pipes and syringes used for the ingestion of methamphetamine.

In the probable cause affidavit, officers reported later in the investigation it was discovered Dockweiler had been tipped off about the pending search of his residence and was removing incriminating items.

Dockweiler was sentenced under provisions of Act 346, meaning if he stays out of trouble during his probation period, he can apply to the court to have his record sealed.
