JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) _ A Missouri state representative has unblocked a
critic from her Twitter account after he sued in a case reminiscent of a recent
ruling against President Donald Trump.

The Columbia Missourian reports Republican Rep. Cheri Toalson Reisch, of
Hallsville, announced her decision in a statement Tuesday. Personal injury
lawyer Michael Campbell was blocked from Reisch’s account after he retweeted
another state representative who criticized her.

Campbell doesn’t plan to drop the lawsuit, which argues blocking
constituents because of their political views violates their First Amendment
rights. Reisch calls the lawsuit frivolous and says Campbell has never tried to
communicate with her in a “meaningful way.”

Similar lawsuits have been filed around the county. A federal judge ruled in
May that Trump violated the First Amendment when he blocked critics.
