
Sunset on the Buffalo, a book written by Martha White Lee, will be the topic at Tuesday’s meeting of the Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society. The group will meet at 6:00 in the Knox Room at the Donald W. Reynolds Library at 300 Library Hill in Mountain Home.Sunset on the Buffalo is about the history from the mining town of Rush to Old Buffalo after the Civil War up to 1946. Martha White Lee was born and raised near Buffalo City. She has lived on Echo Ridge overlooking Old Buffalo City in Marion County for 30 years. With the exception of two years, she has lived in Buford and Buffalo all of her life.The Baxter County Historical Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00. Most meetings are held at the Donald W. Reynolds Library.
