Henry Holt and Co.Who frontman Roger Daltrey has unveiled new details about his upcoming autobiography, which is titled Thanks a Lot Mr. Kibblewhite: My Story, and will be released in the U.S. on October 23. The singer named his book after the strict school headmaster with whom he frequently clashed as a teenage student.

You can check out the cover of the memoir, featuring a photo of Roger from the 1970s standing in front of a pile of rubble, now at TheWho.com. Daltrey will take part in a book-launch event at London’s Southbank Centre as part of the 2018 London Literature Festival on October 18, the day that Thanks a Lot Mr. Kibblewhite hits stores in the U.K. Roger will be interviewed and will participate in a Q&A at the event.

U.K. residents who pre-order the book will be entered into a contest offering a signed print of the cover photo. Five winners will be selected at random.

In the memoir, Daltrey shares his life story, from his birth during World War II through his years as an unruly student, his eventual expulsion from school and his brief stint as a sheet-metal worker before he founded what would become one of the most famous rock bands on the planet. Of course, Roger also candidly recalls his many adventures as The Who’s frontman and the creation of the band’s classic recordings.

Meanwhile, Daltrey has four more solo concerts left on his 2018 U.S. tour itinerary, as he continues to promote his recently released album, As Long as I Have You. Here are the dates:

8/10 — Saratoga, CA, The Mountain Winery
8/12 — Paso Robles, CA, Vina Robles Amphitheatre
8/15 — San Diego, CA, Bayside Summer Nights
8/18 — Indio, CA, Fantasy Springs Event Center
